European Networking - Meeting report
In May 2006 town Náchod and partners submitted their sub-project European NETworking (EU-NET) in the programme GRIP IT. The sub-project is focused on integrated projects prepared by participant countries, which should be realized in next programming period 2007-2013 and financed by EU resources.
Náchod is the lead partner of this project, the other two partners are from Italy - region Friuli Venezia Giulia (Municipality of Monfalcone) and region Basilicata (PIT AREA BRADANICA).
The opening conference took place in the small assembly of Dr. Čížek theatre in Náchod on 6th and 7th November, 2006.
The main aim of the conference was collective work of all participants of the project on the outputs of sub-project EU-NET, the exchange of experience from realization of own projects, the way of processing methodology and strategy engineer Jana Horáková, the manager of EU-NET sub-project opened the conference. Mayor of Náchod, engineer Oldřich Čtvrtečka cordially greeeted all participants and wished them every success and enthusiasm for execution of this project.
The main articles of sub-project EU-NET presented engineer Lenka Martincová, the financial manager of the project. Her slide-show was focused on collective activities of the project and the outputs. The logo and web pages of the project were introduced to all participants. They were also informed about total finance volume that is at disposal for sub-project EU-NET operating and providing its outputs.
Engineer Tomáš Šubert, member of the regional council in Hradec Králové presented the project intention of town Náchod - the reconstruction of health resort Běloves and its feasible future development.
In the following part of the conference the representatives of sub-project partners have signed the Cooperation agreement in the frame of this project. Mr. Lucio Gregoretti represented town Monfalcone, Mr. Domenico Amenta, Mayor of town Irsina represented PIT AREA BRADANICA, Náchod represented engineer Oldřich Čtvrtečka, Mayor of the town. Also other representatives of Náchod took part in the conference.
Italian town Monfalcone, represented by Mr. Lucio Gregoretti and his colleagues Chiara Valdesolo and Rada Orescanin presented not only their town but also region Friuli Venezia Giulia. They have outlined the system of managing an integrated project, the way of data collection for creating a territorial analysis and future activities aimed in particular at cooperation, exchange of experience and laying foundation of longlasting partnership among all participants.
Mr. Domenico Amenta represented PIT AREA BRADANICA and region BASILICATA. There was a video appended to his performance, describing typical local products of single communities joined in PIT AREA BRADANICA and their cultural and historical wealth.
The afternoon programme have launched the walk through the health resort in Běloves. The participants could learn from Cllr. Tomáš Šubert the history as well as development of the facility. Every single building was described including its history and former utilization. Tasting of mineral water IDA was concluded into sight-seeing walk through the spa, along river Metuje. IDA has still been very popular in Náchod region. In the evening, after visitation of all important parts of the health resort and surrounding park, the participants debated about health resort restoration problems and ways and means of future organization.
Second day of the conference the negotiations about sub-project EU-NET went on with strategy and methodology processing and the exchange of experience from similar projects realized formerly.
Mr. Lucio Gregoretti have proposed to sign an agreement confirming longlasting cooperation among partners of this project. The participants hammered out their targets, activities and outputs in the frame of particular components.
Next meeting will take place in region BASILICATA and the main subject of discussion will be the data collection for creating territorial analyses - strenghts and weaknesses.
